The Trees and Views Committee may, at its discretion, consider agenda items out of the order in which they are listed. The public may comment on any item on the agenda that has not previously been subject to public comment. To give everyone an opportunity to be heard and to ensure the presentation of different points of view, the Committee requests that members of the audience who speak: 1) Fill out a Speaker Card and submit it to staff; 2) Always address the Chair; 3) State his or her name and address; and 4) State views succinctly. The Committee requests that applicants, Tree Owners, and Claimants limit presentations to 15 minutes and that neighbors and other interested limit presentations to 3 minutes.

DESCRIPTION: A view claim regarding the obstruction of views from the Claimant’s property at 24
Filbert Avenue (APN 064-211-14) by trees located on the Tree Owner’s property at 608 Locust Street
(APN 064-211-33). The Claimant seeks an advisory decision regarding the restoration of views from
the property at 608 Locust Street.
RECOMMENDATION: Review, modify as appropriate and approve draft resolution regarding
advisory decision supporting restoration of views

2. FRANK TREES/ 855 SPRING STREET (TRP 13-290) Staff: Schinsing

DESCRIPTION: Discussion of the November and December Tree Tip of the Month; Assignment of
Tree Tips for 2014; Tree Tip Template Update

RECOMMENDATION: Review and approve draft language for the November Tree Tip of the month;
review and approve draft language for December Tree Tip of the month; assign Committee members
tree tip months in 2014; update on tree tip template
