San Francisco Ballet Preview
Date: November 26, 2012 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Cost: Free
Location: Sausalito City Hall-Council Chambers, 420 Litho St.

Adult Education Coordinator Cecelia Beam will give an overview of San Francisco Ballet’s 80th Repertory Season which features premieres by choreographers from Great Britain and Russia, to repertory favorites by ballet-world luminaries.

The 2013 Repertory Season offers many choices including a view from the splendor of a Byzantine palace to the sounds and sights of Mendelssohn’s’ Scottish highlands. Also featured this season is Christopher Wheeldon’s groundbreaking new Cinderella, a co-production with Dutch National Ballet. Set to the music of Sergei Prokofiev, Wheeldon’s imaginative interpretation is anchored in the fantastical original tale by the Brothers Grimm.

Audiences will be transported to an otherworldly place with astonishing sets and costumes by British designer Julian Crouch, renowned for his designs for the Metropolitan Opera and the Broadway musical The Addams Family.
