The Trees and Views Committee is responsible for reviewing Tree Removal and Alteration Permit applications regarding protected trees on privately-owned developed property. In addition, the Committee is responsible for conducting arbitration of view claims and for conducting fact finding meetings and rendering advisory decisions of view claims in situations involving trees on privately-owned property which may be obstructing the view from or sunlight reaching other property. The City’s Trees and Views Preservation Regulations are provided in Chapter 11.12 of the Municipal Code. How to Apply for Membership on the Trees and Views Committee
Click on the "Apply" button above if you are interested in serving on this board. Applicants are interviewed and appointed by the City Council. Applications are accepted for any Board/Commission year-round and are kept on file for ONE year.
Length of Term: 3 years
Meets: On an as-needed basis
Requirements: Must be a resident of Sausalito; it is desirable that at least one member of this Committee be a landscape architect.
