Most Recent Election
The most recent General Municipal Election was held on November 8, 2016 where the voters of the City of Sausalito elected three members to the City Council: Ray Withy, Joan Cox and Joe Burns. - There will be a Special Municipal Election held on November 7, 2017 where the voters of the City of Sausalito will elect one member to the City Council to fill an unexpired term through November 2018. Registered voters who reside within City limits may run for City Council. More information will be posted regarding this election in early July 2017 (see the tab to the left labeled "2017 Special Municipal Election")
- The next regularly scheduled General Municipal Election will be held November 6, 2018 where the voters of the City of Sausalito will elect two members to the City Council. Registered voters who reside within City limits may run for City Council.

Register to Vote
Residents who have moved or changed their name must re-register to be eligible to vote in future elections. Postage-paid, preaddressed registration forms may be obtained from any post office, city/town hall, public library or fire station in Marin County.
Register to Vote in Person
Residents may also register to vote in person at the Marin County Registrar of Voters' Office. Office hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. The phone number is (415) 499-6456, and the fax number is (415) 499-6447. If you have moved or changed your name you must re-register to be eligible to vote in any future elections.
