Revised Plans Released for New Play Structure at Southview Park
Posted Date: 7/14/2017 2:00 PM
At the May 31 regular meeting of the City of Sausalito Planning Commission, City staff and landscape architects from SWA Group presented a plan for Southview Park improvements. Although the plan was generally well received, the proposed play structure was deemed too tall, and the Planning Commission requested modifications to its design.

City staff and SWA have completed a set of revised plans for play equipment in Southview Park that is considerably shorter than the equipment from the May proposal. The play equipment currently installed in the park is approximately 12.5 feet tall. The proposed plans from May called for a structure with a height of 24 feet. The play structure in the newly revised plans is 13.75 feet tall.

The Southview Park improvement project will return to the Planning Commission for approval in the fall. If you have any questions or comments, please contact Parks and Recreation Director Mike Langford at mlangford@ci.sausalito.ca.us.
