Street Meters

WHAT DAYS AND TIME DO THE ON-STREET PARKING METERS OPERATE?

Sausalito's on-street parking meters operate 9:00am to 6:00pm, 365 days a year. Most on-street meters allow only 3 hours parking, but read posted restrictions. When parking before 9:00am you may pre-pay for that space, payments will be reflected with a start time of 9:00am. Parking is free after 6:00pm.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO PARK AND HOW DO I PAY?

All on-street parking meters cost $1.00 per hour and accept credit, debit and coin payments.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I GO OVER MY TIME?

Not paying for parking during operating hours, or parking in excess of your purchased time may result in citation.

REPORT BROKEN / NON-FUNCTIONING METERS

Broken and non-functioning meters may be reported to the Sausalito Police Department at (415) 289-4170. Meters with a card jam will continue to take coin payments, similarly meters with coin jams will continue to take card payments.
