Councilmember Linda Pfeifer was elected to the Sausalito City Council in November 2008, was re-elected in November 2012 to serve an ensuing four-year term. She served as Vice Mayor in 2010. Linda serves as a Council representative on the City's OMIT (Outreach, MLK Leasing, Internet Technology & Transportation) Committee, and she also serves as the Council liaison to the City's Sustainability Commission and served as the Council liaison to the City's Butte Street Task Force. In 2011 Linda contributed to the Ad Hoc Committee on Marin County Local Government Reform of Pensions and Other Post-Employee Benefits (Defining the Problem and Scope of Local Solutions).
Linda has worked in the field of Corporate Education for nearly three decades, including 16 years at Hewlett Packard with global experience in Europe, India, and China. She has a Doctorate of Education, Masters in HR Management, and a Masters in Instructional Technology.
Active in her community, Linda has lived in Sausalito nearly two decades and serves as Secretary of Open Space Sausalito, and belongs to Citizen Marin, Marin Audubon, and the Sausalito Woman’s Club. She serves as the US Coast Guard Auxiliary HR Flotilla Staff Officer at Station Golden Gate promoting boating safety and environmental stewardship for our beautiful bay. Linda was also elected twice to the Chamber of Commerce Board.
