Most Recent Election
The most recent General Municipal Election was held on Tuesday, November 3, 2015, for the purpose of voting on a City-wide Measure. The final, certified results of this election are posted here.

The next regularly scheduled General Municipal Election will be held November 8, 2016 where the voters of the City of Sausalito will elect three members to the City Council.
The nomination filing period is July 18 through August 12. Nomination papers may be obtained from the office of the City Clerk, 420 Litho Street, Monday through Thursday from 10:00 am to 3:30 pm or by pre-scheduled appointment (call 415-289-4134 to make an appointment). The last day to file Nomination Papers is Friday, August 12, 2016 at 5:00 pm. As required by law, the Clerk’s Office will remain open until 5:00 pm on the last day of filing. If at least one of the three incumbents has failed to file by the last filing date and time, the nomination period will be extended to Wednesday, August 17, 2016 for non-incumbents only.

Register to Vote
Residents who have moved or changed their name must re-register to be eligible to vote in future elections. Postage-paid, preaddressed registration forms may be obtained from any post office, city/town hall, public library or fire station in Marin County.
Register to Vote in Person
Residents may also register to vote in person at the Marin County Registrar of Voters' Office. Office hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. The phone number is (415) 499-6456, and the fax number is (415) 499-6447. If you have moved or changed your name you must re-register to be eligible to vote in any future elections.
